Spanning 8 tracks, Maddie's ethereal vocals in ‘Girl of Your Dreams’ soar over pulsating electronic rhythms and sparkling synths. This new EP is a masterclass in juxtaposition: it pairs soul-stirring lyrics with addictive pop hooks, showcasing Maddie's artistic prowess.
Co-produced with her boyfriend, and close musical counterpart, Cade Hoppe, the EP is a mixtape of emotions, featuring 5 hit singles and 3 fresh-out-of-the-studio tracks: “Buy Her a Drink,” “Prettiest Please,” and “Hiding Place” (the spotlight-stealer).
Maddie gets candid about the EP's core, “‘Girl of Your Dreams’ delves into the darker sides of love. It's about how toxic love skews your self-worth, trapping you in a vicious cycle of self-doubt and ruined relationships.” It’s a raw look into the entanglements of the heart, with both others and oneself.
Toronto-born and now reigning in the buzz of New York City, Maddie embarked on her musical journey at just 12. As a shy kid, music became her voice, her outlet for self-expression, and her means to conquer inner fears, turning her vulnerabilities into strengths. Over the years, she’s refined her sound, striking a perfect chord between dreamy pop anthems and unfiltered, heartfelt songwriting.
Maddie burst onto the scene in 2021 with 'MISS REGENT,' her stunning debut EP crafted by the Grammy-nominated LIONCHLD trio (think Britney Spears, Bebe Rexha, Calvin Harris). Her track “EGO” was a smash, sparking viral TikTok frenzies.
Now, with 'Girl of Your Dreams,' Maddie not only showcases her evolution as an artist and lyricist but also her flair for genre-bending.
