New Kids on the Block (NKOTB), the iconic American boy band from Massachusetts, recently celebrated their 35th anniversary by releasing their first full-length studio album in over a decade, "Still Kids." This release comes just ahead of their much-anticipated Magic Summer Tour.

The band, comprised of Jonathan and Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood, NKOTB has produced numerous hits such as “You Got It (The Right Stuff)”, “Step by Step”, and “I’ll Be Loving You Forever.” At their peak, they sold millions of albums, had their faces plastered across various forms of merchandise, and captivated adoring fans at their concerts. Remarkably, this success continues with the release of "Still Kids."

New Music and Nostalgia: “Still Kids”

"Still Kids," NKOTB's eighth studio album, includes the euphoric lead single "Kids." This pop hit reflects on the band's past while retaining their youthful energy. The album, consisting of fourteen tracks, took about a year and a half to write and record—a process the band describes as well worth the wait.

The opening track, “Magic” begins strongly with upbeat instrumentals and fun, catchy lyrics that intend to entice the listener. “A Love Like This” and “Pop” are nods to how the group remains young at heart, but they have matured as artists. “A Love Like This” uses strong instrumentals, beautiful lyrics, and a solo guitar halfway through the song, making it one of the best tracks on the album.

“In The Night” transports the listener to the 90s with the backdrop of synth and rhythmic guitar while mature lyrics add a modern feel to the retro track. “Get Down” features DJ Jazzy Jeff on a funky upbeat track with a retro feel you can’t stop listening to. “Old School Love” is a team-up with fellow 90s star Taylor Dayne, a catchy track with a great beat and melody. “Summer Love” is a great pop song with a modern feel that fans will sing along to in the car all summer.

“Still Kids” upbeat summer songs will stick with you all day and night. The songs are catchy, the lyrics are memorable and capture that classic boy band sound that fans and casual listeners will appreciate. Finally, “Better Days” and” Stay” close this amazing and refreshing album on a strong note with their feel-good sound similar to the rest of the album. This is one of their best albums to date, adding another gem to their extensive catalog.
