Piper Connolly to Release Fourth Single “welcome back girl”

After releasing a poll on Instagram reels playing snippets of two songs and asking fans which one to release as her next single, independent musician Piper Connolly has announced that the people have spoken, and her fourth release, "welcome back girl", will be out on September 26th.
The Phoenix, AZ artist, described as a “teen pop punk meets alt pop riser”, is known as a fierce innovator, with her music bringing to life a vibrant mélange of introspection and sonic exploration. Often compared to the likes of Avril Lavigne and Paramore, Connolly’s crisp and sonorous vocals and simple yet strong guitar melodies are reminiscent of late 2000s pop rock classics.

On this upcoming track, listeners have a simultaneously melancholic yet empowering single to look forward to. The vocal performance by Connolly is positively arresting, showing off her powerful, emotive voice and incredible range. Accompanying her powerhouse pipes are a drumline and guitar melody reminiscent of 2000s pop punk ballads. A track highlight is definitely the transcendent and layered vocals in harmony on the bridge, which is a standout moment in which the musical composition of the track conveys the intensity of the topic at hand. On the lyrical content of the song, Connolly confides, "I wrote the song after seeing a friend rediscover herself after a very difficult time. She had completely lost herself as a result of a really bad relationship which included intimate partner violence. This beautiful, strong, effervescent personality had become unrecognizable as the person we all love so much. She left them which, in and of itself, was very hard for her to do and, with time, came healing and that familiar lovely woman came back to us and back to herself. She is now the 'welcome back girl' in my song.”
