Severance Season 2 Just Dropped

Apple TV+ drops the Season 2 a day early because they love us <3

Reporting to you live at 10PM on Jan 16th—also known as the day Severance Season 2 Episode 1 dropped.

After this week’s epic marketing campaign:

It seemed like everyone and their mum suddenly had “Severance Season 2 Drops” written in their calendars. At the very least, the subreddit r/SeveranceAppleTVPlus was popping.

I recommend not lurking that until after you watch the first episode. A lot of spoilers and fan theories—some of which I’ve spent this evening entertaining. Reddit <3 <3

Anyway, Severance Season 2 was set to release on January 17th, as per Apple TV+s official statement:

But we know Apple TV+ tends to be a little cheeky, so fans predicted that the new season would premiere tonight at 9PM, which was confirmed earlier tonight by Ben Stiller.

I have to give my kudos to Apple, their marketing team has been working overtime.

No for real, Apple went all in on the marketing for Season 2, promoting it on the Apple.com site

And so, the first episode of S2 is live.

Fans of the Apple TV+ psychological thriller have waited almost three years for this day. Episode one proved to be a daring start to what will surely be an unpredictable, suspenseful season—lies were told, secrets were kept, prolonged eye contact was made, a child was there?

I’m excited to see what direction the season’s directors—Ben Stiller, Sam Donovan, Uta Briesewitz, and Jessica Lee Gagné—take the show.

Lumon—watch your back.
