Party Nails Releases Pillow Talk, Her Long-Awaited Third-Album

Pillow Talk finds songwriter-producer-artist Party Nails (a.k.a. Elana Carroll) in a honey-coloured party mood

The album kicks things off with "Same Old Song," an indie rock anthem meant to be belted out into the rearview mirror—Party Nails tosses her melancholy into the backseat (along with snacks) and invites "fun" to ride shotgun all the way to the sleepover.

She cruises through bold synth-pop vibes ("First Responder," "Movie Scene") before veering into a grunge and punk-tinged second act ("Someway Somehow," "Do U Know How"). The journey ends in a cozy blanket fort, where she leans in for a late-night heart-to-heart, your head resting on the pillow beside hers ("Trigger Warning," "Dirty Water").

Before she was Party Nails, Elana Carroll was the tween-dream-open-mic-queen of Chatham, NY. Garageband then sparked her passion for technology, revealing an artist equal parts frontman and engineer. Elana’s love of the studio has only grown, while a growing audience continues to adore her onstage. She operates Top Coat Music Studio in Los Angeles, where she records, produces and mixes for Party Nails and others.

Party Nails debuted in 2015 on Neon Gold’s famed blog with Break, toured in 2017 with PVRIS and Lights. Her music has been in movies and television (Glass, Girls, The L Word: Generation Q, Nancy Drew, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin) and on Spotify playlists Fresh Finds and Undercurrents.

She’s also pretty funny (check “Rockin' on the Rag,” her period pride canticle for Loren Bouchard’s Apple animated series Central Park).
